Are you still using VM? Have you ever tried AWS, GCP? Didn’t you even get to know Kubernetes?

It is 2020, and if you are not using Kubernetes yet, you need to think about your situation.

That is what I experienced in early 2020 — not knowing anything about CNCF or Kubernetes, except for a little about AWS and GCP VMs, made me a lost deer in the woods. Ten years of work experience did not make me a more mature engineer than my colleagues, who are less experienced.

However, everything has been changing since I joined a company that embraces Cloud-Native. After a lot of reading and practicing, I find that CNCF is too big and complicated, so that it is challenging to discuss CNCF directly. The diagram below is just a part of the tools in its ecosystem.

As shown in the figure below, the simple statistics on Github involve the number of related repos, which is still multiplying.
